Join me, Lee Mulholland, in making a difference in Bessacarr, Cantley and Lakeside. Together, we can bring positive change and representation to our community. Get involved today!
Hi neighbours!
I'd like to introduce myself—I’m Lee Mulholland, and I’m standing as your brand-new ward councillor candidate for the May 2025 elections.
I’m not a career politician, just a local chap, dad of five (not including the dog!), husband, and now a proud grandad. Like many of you, I work full-time while balancing family life, and I know the challenges that come with it. But I also believe that community matters—and that’s why I’m standing.
For years, I’ve worked with people across Doncaster to build stronger, more connected communities, and now I want to take that passion further by representing you. A ward councillor is there to listen to residents, raise issues at the council, and fight for better local services. Whether it’s fixing potholes, improving public spaces, or tackling antisocial behaviour, the role is about making sure your concerns are heard and acted upon. I want to be that voice for you—helping to solve problems, push for change, and make our area the best it can be.
I know that Cantley, Bessacarr, and Lakeside are fantastic places to live, but I also know that many of you feel let down—by rising costs, stretched public services, and decisions that don’t always put our community first. That’s why I’m standing: to listen, to fight for better, and to make sure your voice is heard where it matters.
This campaign isn’t about me—it’s about us. It’s about safer streets, better transport, stronger local businesses, and a council that actually works for you. It’s about real change that makes a difference in everyday life.
I’ve got a track record of taking on projects to help the place I live (Cantley), and as your councillor, I’d love to do the same for Bessacarr and Lakeside.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be out knocking on doors to introduce myself in person, holding stalls, and visiting local groups. I want to hear from you—what do you love about our community, are you involved with a community group? What do you want to see change? Let’s have that conversation and build something better, together.
